It is the time of year for giving thanks.  I am giving thanks that I am able to be a stay at home mom and stay home with my 3 year old and 18 month old daughters.  I truly believe that this is the best time in my life.
So what do I do all day with my girls.  That is the main subject of my blog.  Today I am blogging about ideas for Thanksgiving.
Currently we are working on coloring placecards for our Thanksgiving meal.  There are many ideas for these on Pinterest or create your own.  We are using a printable I found.  In addition or instead of placecards you could make placemats and/or napkin rings.  I saw a cool napkin ring idea that looks like a turkey.  We might make these for our second Thanksgiving meal.
Other Thanksgiving ideas are crafts, songs, books (although libraries are running low on these), and games.  I use Pinterest for most of these as well.
I also am putting together a Thanksgiving basket for a food pantry.  I took my girls to Wegmans and let them pick out food for a Thanksgiving dinner for a family in need.
If possible, I would love to host a Thanksgiving meal for my daughters and their friends.  Yes, a Friendsgiving kid-style.  Of course we'd make the placemats for the meal.  They would help me make the food.  Suggestions could be applesauce, tater tots, turkey cold-cuts, and corn (kid-friendly food).
Most of all, I just want to convey the value of gratefulness this holiday season!
